King set for Rovers return

Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer could hand a start to Josh King when Rovers host Birmingham at Ewood Park.

The Norwegian international recovered from a dead leg in time to come off the bench at half-time during the goalless draw with Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day and is expected to reclaim his starting birth in place of Chris Taylor.

Goalkeeper Paul Robinson has stepped up his recovery from a long-term back injury but is unlikely to feature just yet.

Both Corry Evans and Dickson Etuhu are doubts with respective ankle injuries and Bowyer will need assess the duo before deciding on their availability, although it is unlikely either will feature.

Striker Jesse Lingard starts a three-match suspension for Birmingham.

The Manchester United loanee saw red in the goalless draw at Wigan on Boxing Day and could now have potentially played his last game for Blues with his current agreement set to expire on New Year's Day.

Boss Lee Clark is keen to extend Lingard's stay at the midlands club, however it remains to be seen if a deal can be agreed with David Moyes.

Birmingham boast no fresh injury concerns but Clark has vowed to make changes to cope with the hectic festive fixture schedule.
