He is said to be confident that they will make it through the Euro 2004 qualifications.
The Rovers defender took Norway to a 1-0 victory on Saturday against Romania. He is understandably said to be "delighted" with the result. Oh, and his 92nd cap, too. That leaves Berg just 12 games short of matching the national record held by Torbjorn Svensson.
Berg, however, claims that the most important thing on his mind at the moment is winning tonights match and hopefully picking up another 3 points.
He said, in a recent interview: "I'm not playing to prove anything. I'm a part of this team because I want us to win and take us to another championship. Winning in Romania increased the chance of that happening."
He went on to tell the Norweigan press: "They [Bosnia Herzegovina] outplayed Germany in the first half.
"We have a tough game on our hands. They have quality players and especially when counter-attacking," he continued...
"But we have got to win our home games if we are to qualify for the European Championship finals."
