England face the USA at Wembley on Wednesday and then fly to the Carribean to play Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday.
"These are big games for me, I am trying to establish myself as an international player and I've got to push on and find a little bit more," said Bentley.
"I just have to keep performing and to keep playing well. Everyday I go to work I have to improve as a player and improve as a person and just keep getting better."
But it's the Beckham thing that's making the headlines.
"He (Beckham) is loved by everyone. I admire him highly as a man and a player, but it will be difficult to get past him. He has got everything. I'll do my best and see what happens.
"The levels he has reached are so high, but I am here to take his place."
