Another Bentley Bid Revealed

Rovers boss Paul Ince confirmed earlier this week that Villa had place a bid for the 23-year-old England international winger and now Chairman John Williams has revealed that the club had received a bid earlier than the Villa one, which was rejected.

"We've had bids from two clubs for David Bentley, one when Mark Hughes was manager and the other very recently.

"They've both been rejected," Williams told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
